Iran Rejects Missile Talks as Negotiations With US Continue

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected making Tehran's ballistic missiles a subject of negotiations with the United States or any other country. At a joint news conference with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Pakistan on Tuesday (23/6), Pezeshkian said Iran's military capabilities would not be discussed under any circumstances because they are a core part of the country's defense. Sharif added that the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, signed after technical talks in Swiss, does not include the ballistic missile issue. At the same time, the US authorized Iran to resume exports of crude oil, petrochemical products and petroleum derivatives, while Tehran said there was an agreement on the release of frozen assets.
