Iran denies secret contacts with US as Kushner says talks deepen
Two sources gave sharply different accounts of communication channels as efforts continued to negotiate a new agreement.
Iran denied claims of back-channel communication with the United States, while US special envoy Jared Kushner said contacts with various figures in the Iranian government have instead become more intense. In a Republika report, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps rejected allegations of secret talks and called President AS Donald Trump’s claim a lie. Separately, ANTARA quoted Kushner as saying dialogue across all areas is now more active than before and that negotiations will continue while Washington waits for a deal it considers appropriate. The conflicting statements show there is still no public clarity on the format of communication between the two sides amid efforts to draw up a new agreement.
