iPhone Duo preorders slip to January 2027 as stock vanishes
Apple is still taking online orders, but it has not said whether stores will have units when sales begin on October 23.
Apple is facing a surge in demand for iPhone Duo after preorders opened on October 16 in the United States. Within minutes, estimated delivery dates that were initially earlier moved to November, then December, and for some buyers to late January 2027. The company described demand for the device as “extraordinary” and said online orders will remain open. iPhone Duo is scheduled to go on sale on October 23, but Apple has not detailed whether stock will be available for consumers who missed out on a preorder slot. Some buyers still see an Apple Store pickup option, with a note to check again for availability on October 24.
