The West Java High Prosecutor's Office has named Indramayu Deputy Regent Syaefudin a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving housing and transportation allowances for leaders and members of the Indramayu Regency DPRD in the 2022-2025 fiscal years. The other two suspects are AF, secretary of the Indramayu Regency DPRD, and IM, the acting secretary of the DPRD in 2021-2022. According to Kejati Jabar, state losses based on a BPK calculation reached about Rp18 miliar. The case is tied to the period when Syaefudin was still serving as chairman of the Indramayu DPRD. At the first examination on Friday (12/6), AF and IM appeared, while Syaefudin did not come because he was ill and sent a medical certificate. Investigators said they have not detained the three and will reschedule questioning of Syaefudin.
