Indonesia U-20 begin their 2027 U-20 Asian Cup qualifying campaign against Malaysia in the Group H opener on Monday (31/8/2026) at 16.00 WIB at Lao National Stadium KM16 in Laos. Coach Nova Arianto said the team’s preparation has gone well after several players who had been dealing with fitness issues went through recovery. He also urged the squad not to underestimate any opponent in the group, which also includes Australia and host Laos. Captain Putu Panji Apriawan said the team has trained for nearly a month and will approach the tournament one match at a time. From this qualifying round, eight group winners and seven best runners-up will advance to the final round of the 2027 U-20 Asian Cup in China on 24 March-10 April.
