Indonesia lose 0-1 to Australia, miss AFF U-19 final
Australia advanced to the final, while Indonesia’s run ended in the semifinals in Deli Serdang.
Indonesia U-19 failed to reach the final of the 2026 AFF U-19 Cup after losing 0-1 to Australia in the semifinal at Sumatera Utara Main Stadium, Deli Serdang Regency, on Thursday (11/6/2026) night. The defeat ended Indonesia’s run after they had previously eliminated Vietnam 2-1. A day before the match, coach Nova Arianto named a starting lineup featuring Dafa Al Gasemi, Mathew Baker, Eizar Jacob, Theodore Evan, and Arkhan Kaka. Nova also said the team’s mental condition and stamina were good, and that Reno Salampessy was ready to play after an injury against Vietnam. Australia still managed to secure a narrow win and book a place in the final.
