PSSI apologized after Indonesia's national team failed to advance to the AFF Cup 2026 semifinals. The exit was confirmed after Indonesia drew 1-1 with Singapura in the final Group B match at Stadion Jalan Besar, Singapura, on Friday (7/8), finishing third. PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi urged the public not to direct disappointment at the players and coach. He said the Garuda squad still deserves appreciation for its effort and remains an asset for the future. PSSI is also preparing a full evaluation of the team's results in the tournament. Yunus said routine reviews involve the PSSI Chairman, the National Team Agency, the Executive Committee and the coaching staff, including after both good and bad results.
