Indonesia fine-tunes Kamboja prep, Marselino is 50-50

The Indonesia national team fine-tuned its preparations for Kamboja with a training session at Stadion Madya, Jakarta, on Sunday, but Marselino Ferdinan did not join in fully because of an injury. The Oxford United midfielder only joined the squad for a group prayer before moving aside and watching the session, which was led by John Herdman, from the stands. National team committee chairman Sumardji said Marselino's chance of playing in the Grup A opener at the AFF 2026 remains 50-50 after he underwent an MRI on Sunday morning. Indonesia is scheduled to host Kamboja at Stadion Pakansari, Kabupaten Bogor, on Monday (27/7), to begin Grup A competition that also includes Singapura, Vietnam and Timor Leste.
