Indonesia condemns Israel strikes that disrupt Gaza peace plan
Jakarta said the attacks undermine the second phase of the ceasefire agreed just two days earlier.
Indonesia strongly condemned Israel's military strikes in the Gaza Strip, saying they obstruct implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan and worsen the suffering of Palestinians. The Indonesian Foreign Ministry said attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are a grave violation of international law. Jakarta urged Israel to immediately halt its military operations permanently and fulfill its commitments under the ceasefire agreement. The Indonesian government also welcomed the acceptance of the second-phase roadmap by Hamas and other Palestinian factions, which it said was in line with U.N. Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025). The criticism came after Israeli strikes on Sunday killed at least 18 Palestinians, including three children and an unborn baby, two days after Donald Trump and the Peace Council announced the agreement on the next phase.
