Indonesia religious harmony index rises to 77.89 in 2025
The score topped the 2025 RPJM target of 76.47 and is close to the 2029 goal of 78.25.
Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar said Indonesia's religious harmony index in 2025 rose to 77.89, up from 76.47 in 2024. He gave the figure at the Zikir dan Doa Kebangsaan event at Monumen Nasional in Central Jakarta on Saturday (1/8) night. Nasaruddin said the result was the highest since Indonesia was founded. He added that the score had already exceeded the 2025 Rancangan Pembangunan Jangka Menengah target of 76.47 and was nearing the 2029 final target of 78.25. At the same event, he also said the religious piety index in 2025 increased to 84.20. Nasaruddin linked the rise to efforts to preserve unity amid differences and described harmony as a basic foundation for development.
