IHSG rises 4.9% last week as foreigners sell Rp8 trillion

At Monday's open, IHSG still gained to 5,442 as markets awaited third-quarter earnings and the Fed's decision.

IHSG rose 4.90 percent over the week of Oct. 19-23, 2026 to 5,439, even as foreign investors posted net sales of Rp8 trillion in the regular market. At the open on Monday, Oct. 26, the index added 3.04 points, or 0.06 percent, to 5,442.30, while LQ45 fell 0.06 percent to 546.74. PT Indo Premier Sekuritas analyst David Kurniawan said the gains were supported by global and domestic sentiment, including the direction of interest rates at major central banks, movements in the U.S. dollar and geopolitical developments affecting energy prices. On the domestic side, the market is watching Bank Indonesia policy, rupiah movements and third-quarter 2026 earnings from major issuers. David also pointed to governance issues, free float and retail investor protection ahead of the MSCI index announcement.
