IHH Healthcare cuts about 380 support jobs across 3 markets
What's new: The cuts affect non-clinical roles in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia as IHH rolls out a new ERP system.
IHH Healthcare is cutting about 380 jobs in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia as it consolidates business support services across the group. The reduction amounts to roughly 0.5% of its 76,000 employees, while some staff will shift into redesigned roles. The company said clinical services, healthcare professionals and patient-facing teams are not affected. IHH linked the move to a broader transformation program and the rollout of an artificial intelligence-powered enterprise resource planning system with Infosys, first introduced in June for the three markets. The hospital operator said affected employees will receive enhanced severance, career transition help and a confidential support channel. It added that supplier and vendor contracts will continue unchanged for now.
