Hyundai apologizes after Aa Juju’s Ioniq 5 complaint goes viral

HMID is reviewing the vehicle issue and the sales and aftersales response after a video dispute at the Fatmawati dealer drew public criticism.

PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia has apologized after influencer Aa Juju’s complaint about a Hyundai Ioniq 5 spread on social media. Julian Adityo Suwardi, who uses the Instagram account @makanlurrrr, said the car he bought in cash had a series of problems, including a fast-charging system that briefly did not work, trouble after being parked in parallel for a long time, and a vehicle that also shut down. The dispute escalated after video of an argument between Aa Juju and a sales supervisor at a Hyundai dealer in the Fatmawati area of South Jakarta went viral. HMID Head of Public Relation Rouli Sijabat said the company is handling and reviewing the case thoroughly, including the vehicle condition and the customer’s experience with the sales and aftersales teams. The sales supervisor involved has also issued a public apology.
