Hunter Biden says father’s cancer spread to bones after pardon

What’s new: He called the 2024 pardon unfair but said he was grateful, and ruled out seeking elected office.

Hunter Biden told the BBC that former President Joe Biden’s cancer has spread to his bones and beyond, describing the illness as painful and debilitating. In the same interview, he defended the full pardon his father granted him in December 2024 while acknowledging it was “not good” for America, the Constitution or his father’s legacy. The pardon covered Hunter Biden’s federal gun conviction, a tax case he had pleaded guilty to and any federal offenses committed between 2014 and 2024. He said he and his father had never discussed the possibility beforehand and rejected any plan to run for office.
