Hundreds of KKN Nusantara 2026 students deployed to Baduy area
Service efforts will focus on Leuwidamar and Cirinten, Lebak, under a theme centered on ecotheology and local tradition.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs will again hold KKN Nusantara VI for religious universities across Indonesia in 2026, with UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten as host. The program opened on 15 July 2026 at the Auditorium of the UIN SMH Banten rectorate building, then hundreds of delegates departed a day later for villages around Leuwidamar and Cirinten subdistricts, Lebak Regency, Banten. The area was chosen because it overlaps with the territory and local wisdom of the Baduy people. This year's KKN carries the theme, “Merawat Ekoteologi, Menjaga Tradisi: Meneguhkan Iman, Melestarikan Alam”. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar urged participants not to come with academic arrogance, but to learn from a way of life that has long been in harmony with nature.
