Houthi missiles hit Yemen presidential palace in Aden, killing 2

What's new: Five missiles struck the Maashiq complex while the prime minister and Cabinet were inside, leaving ministers unharmed but wounding others.

Houthi forces fired five missiles at the Maashiq presidential palace complex in Aden on Oct. 15, killing two security guards in an attack on the seat of Yemen's internationally recognized government. Prime Minister Shaya Zindani and other Cabinet members inside the compound were not hurt, though officials said others were wounded. Information Minister Moammar al-Eryani said the Houthis targeted the palace itself. The group's military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said the strike hit a Saudi military operations headquarters and weapons depots at the complex. Aden is the base of the Saudi-backed government fighting the Iran-aligned Houthis in Yemen's long-running war.
