Habiburokhman: Wiretap allegation wipes out Listyo's record
New: The House commission chief urges a faster probe and disclosure of the motive behind the alleged surveillance of the president.
House Commission III Chairman Habiburokhman said former National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo's achievements no longer matter after Listyo was implicated in alleged illegal wiretapping of President Prabowo Subianto and several other figures. He called the case a "multiplication by zero," a term he said puts loyalty and integrity as decisive factors that can erase other accomplishments when their value is zero. Habiburokhman said his praise of Listyo during a House plenary session on 6 Juni 2026 was delivered before the alleged crime came to light. He is now asking the public to support an accelerated investigation and stressing that the law must apply to anyone involved, while also uncovering the background and motive for the wiretapping.
