Non-ASN teachers meet DPR, seek status certainty before 2027
FAGRI says 172,323 non-ASN teachers were affected by the 2024 cut-off and are awaiting clarity after the honorer overhaul ends Dec. 31, 2026.
The Forum Advokasi Guru Non-ASN Sekolah Negeri (FAGRI) went to the DPR RI at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (26/8) to seek certainty over the employment status of honorer teachers in 2027. The hearing was led by DPR Deputy Speakers Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and Saan Mustopa. FAGRI chairman Ahmad Farwiz Nasution said the overhaul of honorer workers will end on Dec. 31, 2026, while the future of non-ASN teachers after that remains unclear. He said 172,323 non-ASN teachers were affected by the 2024 cut-off. According to FAGRI, recent discussions have focused more on the part-time and full-time PPPK schemes, while the fate of honorer teachers has not received the same certainty. FAGRI hopes the DPR will help push for a solution before 2027 so teachers’ careers and status are clearer.
