GoTo and Grab cut ride-hailing commission to 8% on July 1

The cut from about 20% will lift two-wheeler drivers' share of fare revenue to 92%, the companies said.

GoTo and Grab will cut app commissions for two-wheeled ride-hailing services in Indonesia to 8% starting July 1, 2026. The policy applies to GoRide on Gojek and similar services on Grab Indonesia, after deductions previously stood at around 20%. Under the new rate, drivers will receive 92% of the passenger transport service value. The implementation schedule was confirmed after a meeting with Deputy House Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and Deputy House Speaker Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday. Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo of GoTo and Neneng Goenadi of Grab Indonesia said the companies will begin applying the new scheme on July 1, in line with the 8% commission ceiling first announced by President Prabowo Subianto on May 1.
