Good Good pulls golf ad after video showed woman shoved down

Why it matters: The backlash drew responses from Callaway and the PGA Tour, which has a Good Good event scheduled in Texas in November.

Golf content brand Good Good removed an advertisement after it showed co-founder Garrett Clark shoving member Alexis Miestowski to the ground as she reached for a driver in a golf bag. The brand apologized, saying the video did not reflect its values and had been taken down. The ad promoted a driver made with Callaway, which said it was disappointed by the post and wanted to keep golf more inclusive. The PGA Tour also distanced itself, saying it does not condone violence and that the deleted video did not match its values of inclusivity and respect. Good Good, launched on YouTube in 2020, has grown into one of golf's biggest creator brands. The tour plans to hold the inaugural Good Good Championship in Texas in November.
