Godzilla vs. Kong actress Kaylee Hottle dies in Maryland crash

Kaylee Hottle, the teenage actress who played Jia in Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, died at age 18 after a car crash in Frederick, Maryland, on Tuesday morning local time. Her father, Joshua Hottle, confirmed the news in an American Sign Language livestream. According to reports cited by several media outlets, Hottle was in a 1995 Honda Accord that ran off the road and struck a ditch. Authorities later told the family that her heart stopped on the way to the hospital. Hottle was also known as a deaf actress who pushed for better representation of people with disabilities in Hollywood. Texas School for the Deaf, where she studied, also offered condolences.
