Gakuto Notsuda takes No. 17 after joining Persib Bandung
The Japanese midfielder signed a one-plus-one-year deal after arriving from BG Pathum United for the 2026/2027 season.
New Persib Bandung midfielder Gakuto Notsuda has chosen No. 17 for the 2026/2027 season. The Japanese player said he initially wanted No. 7, but Beckham Putra already wears it. He therefore picked No. 17, which he said is not far from his favorite number.
Notsuda officially signed a one-plus-one-year contract on Monday, July 13. Before joining Persib, he played for Thai League club BG Pathum United. His arrival makes Notsuda the fourth Japanese player to have represented Persib, after Satoshi Otomo, Kenji Adachihara, and Shohei Matsunaga.
PT Persib Bandung deputy CEO Adhitia Putra Herawan said the signing of Notsuda was recommended by the coaching staff to add quality, experience and flexibility to the squad.
