France joins Abu Dhabi talks on ending Russia's war in Ukraine

France will take part in talks in Abu Dhabi next week on ending Russia’s war in Ukraine, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said Sunday, confirming European involvement in the meetings. US envoy Steve Witkoff said Washington would bring delegations from Ukraine and Russia together in the United Arab Emirates on Nov. 10-11. The agenda includes efforts to end the war, postwar security arrangements and de-escalation. Barrot said Europeans would be well represented and that France would participate, though he did not identify the French representative. The meetings mark a diplomatic step that broadens the format beyond the US, Ukraine and Russia.
