Former UGM BEM Chief Finds Tracker After Gejayan Protest

Tiyo also said his BEM UGM colleagues have received about 30 messages from unknown numbers since 13 June.

Former 2025 UGM KM BEM chairman Tiyo Ardianto found a tracking device under the car he rode in after joining a demonstration with student groups and civil movements in Gejayan, Yogyakarta, on Saturday, 13 June 2026. Tiyo said he learned of the device after his phone showed a notification about a tracker called PBX Finder moving with him. He said the car belonged to a relative and that he had borrowed it because he had recently felt less safe traveling. He said he did not know who installed the device. Beyond that finding, Tiyo said his colleagues in BEM UGM have also been bothered by messages from unknown senders, with roughly 30 messages since 13 June.
