Former Army Chief Subagyo HS dies in Yogyakarta at 80
The body is scheduled to lie in state at Mabesad Tuesday morning before burial at TMP Kalibata in the afternoon.
Gen. (Ret.) Subagyo Hadi Siswoyo died on Monday (19/10) in Yogyakarta at age 80. The former Army chief for 1998-1999 died at Panti Rapih Hospital, according to a Republika report that was confirmed with a friend of the late general. Tonight, his body will lie in state at the family home in Kotabaru, Gondokusuman, Yogyakarta, before being taken to Jakarta on Tuesday (20/10). He is scheduled to lie in state at Mabesad in Central Jakarta at around 09:45 WIB and be buried at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery at around 13:00 WIB. A 1970 AKABRI graduate born in Bantul on 12 June 1946, Subagyo also served as Danjen Kopassus, Pangdam IV/Diponegoro, chairman of PBSI, and a member of the Presidential Advisory Council from 2015-2019.
