Fenerbahce rally past Liverpool 3-2, ending Reds' perfect start

What's new: Liverpool led twice through Trey Nyoni and Alexander Isak, but Fenerbahce answered within four minutes each time before Vedat Muriqi's winner.

Fenerbahce came from behind twice to beat Liverpool 3-2 in Istanbul on Wednesday, handing the Premier League club its first Champions League loss of the season. Trey Nyoni put Liverpool ahead with his first senior goal in the 25th minute, but Mason Greenwood equalized four minutes later with a free kick that deflected in. Substitute Alexander Isak restored Liverpool's lead in the 69th, only for Archie Brown to level again in the 73rd after a defensive mix-up. Vedat Muriqi headed in the winner in the 79th as Liverpool's back line unraveled. The result ended Liverpool's 100% start in Europe and gave Fenerbahce its first win of the league phase under interim coach Dirk Kuyt.
