EU and donors launch 883.6 million euro fund for Gaza

The initial funding will clear rubble and restore water, sanitation, health, energy, agriculture and food services.

The European Union and several donor countries launched the 883.6 million euro Team Gaza Initiative for early recovery in Gaza at a Palestine Donor Group meeting in Brussels on Monday, July 13, 2026. European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Suica and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa led the forum, which drew 65 delegations. The money will be used to clear war debris and restore basic services, including water, sanitation, health, energy, agriculture and food. The European Commission also said Suica reached an agreement with Israeli authorities on next steps for two major waste and water management projects in Gaza. Aid delivery still depends on conditions on the ground, while full reconstruction is expected to take years and cost tens of billions of dollars.
