ESDM to open tender for 30 GW solar plants, 9,000 hectares ready
The first phase of the 100 GW project covers state land and reservoirs, including Saguling, which could add 100-150 MW.
The ESDM Ministry will begin opening the first tender for 30 gigawatts of solar power plants this year, as part of a target to build 100 GW of PLTS in the next few years. ESDM Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said the plan has been discussed with PLN and is included in the direction of the 2025-2034 RUPTL, in which about 70-75 percent of new capacity will be supported by renewable energy and energy storage. Deputy ESDM Minister Yuliot Tanjung added that the government has identified land that can be used, including state assets, Bank Tanah under ATR/BPN, and reservoir areas. The ATR Ministry has prepared about 9,000 hectares of land. For Saguling Reservoir, permits to use water resources are said to be able to be issued, with electricity potential of around 100 to 150 megawatts.
