Sen. Eric Schmitt drew attention at the Congressional Baseball Game after making a diving catch in left field during the third inning of the Republicans’ 11-2 victory over Democrats on Wednesday night. Schmitt, a Missouri Republican, got up holding the ball and showing a bloody nose after the play, which quickly spread online. He later said he bought the Rawlings glove as a teenager after saving money from mowing lawns and recently had it restrung.
