DSI to set fair export price bands for natural resources from Jan. 1, 2027
The benchmark will draw on HPE, commodity exchange prices and other commercial parameters for coal, CPO and ferroalloy.
PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) will set export price bands deemed fair under a one-stop export scheme for strategic natural resource commodities that will take full effect on Jan. 1, 2027. Trade Minister Budi Santoso said the benchmark will be compiled from several references, namely Harga Patokan Ekspor (HPE), commodity exchange prices and other commercial parameters. The government has already started a transition period from June 1, 2026. In the initial phase, the policy covers coal, crude palm oil or CPO, and iron alloy or ferroalloy. The government said the DSI scheme is aimed at strengthening export oversight and foreign exchange earnings, while also supporting economic growth, inflation control, exchange-rate stability and Indonesia's bargaining position with overseas buyers.
