DPRD Kalsel pushes 2 wells for haruan farming in HST
The proposal for water facilities and hatchery support in Mahang Baru and Desa Jamil will be taken to the 2026 revised budget or 2027.
DPRD Kalimantan Selatan is pushing to strengthen haruan fish farming in Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah by seeking two bore wells for farming groups in Desa Mahang Baru and Desa Jamil. The proposal followed a visit by Komisi II DPRD Kalsel to Pokdakan Mufakat in Mahang Baru, Kecamatan Labuan Amas Selatan, where farmers raised concerns about water shortages during the dry season. Beyond water, they also face problems with feed, grow-out ponds, hatchery facilities and other supporting equipment. Deputy chairman of Komisi II DPRD Kalsel Suripno Sumas said the needs will be proposed through Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Kalsel so they can be included in APBD Perubahan 2026, or if that is not possible, APBD 2027.
