DPR approves 2027 indicative ceiling for ESDM at Rp27.33 trillion
About 82% of the budget will fund energy priorities, including household gas networks, village electricity, and gas pipelines.
Commission XII of the DPR RI approved the 2027 indicative budget ceiling for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources at Rp27.33 trillion in a working session in Jakarta on Monday. Of that total, about Rp22.48 trillion, or 82%, is allocated to strategic programs and energy infrastructure. The largest shares go to the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at about Rp11.33 trillion and the Directorate General of Electricity at Rp10.46 trillion. The budget will fund a household gas network worth about Rp5.2 trillion for 959,232 connections, the Rp9.7 trillion village electricity program, the Dumai-Sei Mangkei gas pipeline worth about Rp3.9 trillion, and the Semarang-Solo-Yogyakarta and Cirebon-Bandung pipelines. Other programs include electric stove conversion, electric motorcycle conversion, and three PLTMH units.
