What's next: A 32-year-old man who surrendered to police is due to be charged with murder on Oct. 7.

A doctor at a clinic in Telok Blangah Heights rushed from an evening consultation to help two stabbing victims on Oct. 5, but a 73-year-old man later died at Singapore General Hospital. Joel Lee of The Local Doctor Clinic said the first injured man, 53, arrived bleeding from the shoulder and told him another victim at a nearby coffee shop was in worse condition. Lee found the older man with severe chest and neck injuries and tried to keep him responsive until paramedics arrived.
