Doctor Tifa trial over Jokowi diploma claim resumes Aug. 6
Prosecutors fixed the indictment after a judge voided it, sending the case back to the start with a fresh reading.
The East Jakarta District Court has rescheduled the trial of Tifauzia Tyassuma, also known as Doctor Tifa, for Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, in a defamation case tied to allegations that former Indonesian president Joko Widodo used a fake diploma. Prosecutors refiled the case on July 28, 2026, under case number 354/Pid.B/2026/PN Jktim after revising the indictment. East Jakarta District Court spokesman Immanuel Tarigan said the prosecution did not challenge the earlier interlocutory ruling and opted to amend the charges instead. The case will be heard by a panel led by Christina Endarwati, with Rudi Rafli Siregar and Mathilda Chrystina Katarina as members, and will restart from the beginning with a new reading of the indictment.
