DKI cracks down on illegal parking at 15 points, 600 deployed
New step: the identity data of illegal parking attendants will be verified; those not from Jakarta will be returned to their home regions.
Pemprov DKI Jakarta has begun cracking down on illegal parking and illegal parking attendants at 15 points across five municipalities with the involvement of 600 combined personnel. The operation uses valve removals, towing and enforcement against illegal attendants, and is scheduled to run every day for a week before being gradually reduced in frequency. On the first day, officers removed valve stems from 44 motorcycles in Gambir, in front of Cikini Station and in front of RSCM, and towed one ride-hailing taxi in Setiabudi. DKI is also verifying the population data of the illegal attendants caught in the operation. Residents from outside Jakarta will be sent back by Dinas Sosial, while Jakarta residents will receive guidance. According to CRM data, there have been 3,246 public complaints about illegal parking, making it the second-most common issue in citizen reports.
