DJP seizes 518 tax debtor assets in West and East Java worth Rp78.96 billion
Unredeemed assets can move to auction through DJKN if taxpayers still do not settle debts after the forced-letter stage.
The Directorate General of Taxes seized 518 assets belonging to tax debtors in West Java and East Java during the Simultaneous Seizure Week from June 22-26, 2026, with a total estimated value of Rp78.96 billion. In West Java, three regional offices seized 288 assets worth Rp54.06 billion. In East Java, three regional offices seized 230 assets worth Rp24.9 billion from 158 tax debtors with total arrears of Rp621.2 billion. DJP said the seizures were carried out after collection steps, from reminders and warning letters to forced letters, failed to bring payment. The seized assets were identified by State Tax Bailiffs and were deemed to meet legal requirements. If the tax debt remains unpaid, collection can continue to auction through cooperation with the Directorate General of State Assets.
