DJKI destroys 567 counterfeit Lacoste items worth Rp940 million
The destruction followed the settlement of a case between PT Terra Store and Lacoste through a peace mechanism.
The Directorate General of Intellectual Property under the Ministry of Law destroyed 567 pieces of evidence in Lacoste trademark violations on Monday, June 22, 2026, with an estimated economic value of around Rp940.4 million. The items destroyed included 135 jersey shirts, 42 training pants, 25 jackets, 204 shirts, 32 sweaters, 9 polo T-shirts, 91 T-shirts, and 29 boxers. Director General of Intellectual Property Hermansyah Siregar said the move was a follow-up to a case handled by DJKI investigators and ended through a settlement between PT Terra Store and Lacoste. DJKI Law Enforcement Director Arie Ardian Rishadi said the value was calculated from the retail prices of comparable original products in the market, so the circulation of unauthorized goods could harm the brand owner, consumers, and business competition.
