Dewa United take Game 1 of IBL semifinals, top Pelita Jaya 78-76
Dewa lead the best-of-five series 1-0 after Troy Gillenwater’s putback with 0.46 seconds left sealed the win.
Dewa United Banten stole Game 1 of the 2026 IBL semifinals at Pelita Jaya Jakarta’s home court with a 78-76 victory on Saturday (6/6) to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series. The decisive basket came in the final seconds when Troy Gillenwater turned an offensive rebound into two points with 0.46 seconds remaining. Dewa controlled the game early, closing the first quarter ahead 33-14 and leading 55-37 at halftime. Pelita Jaya rallied after the break behind Andakara Prastawa, Perrin Buford and Jeff Withey, cutting the gap to 58-67 at the end of the third quarter. Prastawa then tied it at 76-76 with a 3-pointer 15 seconds before the buzzer, but Gillenwater secured the win for coach Agusti Julbe Bosch’s team. Gillenwater finished with 35 points, while Joshua Ibarra added 22 points and 14 rebounds.
