DEN finds 86.9% of MBG kitchens use local MSMEs

The National Economic Council found that 86.9% of service units in the Free Nutritious Meals program work with at least one small supplier near the site. On average, each MBG kitchen partners with three UMKM. The finding came from an independent DEN survey of 800 randomly selected SPPG sites across Indonesia. DEN Secretary Septian Hario Seto said about 65% of the UMKM in MBG's supply chain come from the same regency as the kitchen, so supplies are not dominated by large vendors from outside the area. The survey also found that nearly 99% of workers at SPPG are recruited from local residents.
