Bareskrim names former OJK official suspect in Rp2,4 trillion DSI case
Investigators barred Fithri Hadi from leaving the country through 27 June and scheduled questioning for 17 June.
Bareskrim Polri has named former OJK official and former Indonesia Stock Exchange director Fithri Hadi a new suspect in the alleged fraud, embezzlement and money laundering case involving PT Dana Syariah Indonesia worth Rp2,4 triliun. Bareskrim's director of economic and special crimes, Ade Safri Simanjuntak, said the designation was based on five forms of evidence, including witness statements, expert testimony, documents, physical evidence and electronic evidence. Investigators suspect Fithri, founder and adviser to PT DSI, was involved in channeling public funds through fictitious projects presented as existing borrowers in 2018-2025. He is also suspected of actively seeking investors and knowing about the promotion of the fake projects on PT DSI's website and app. Bareskrim has requested a travel ban from 8-27 June 2026 and summoned Fithri as a suspect on 17 June in Jakarta.
