Danantara to contribute Rp120 trillion to 2026 budget

The higher inflow is expected to lift state revenue and widen room to contain the deficit and cover unexpected spending.

Danantara, the investment management agency, will contribute Rp120 trillion to the 2026 state budget, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said, after the BUMN dividend scheme was transferred to the agency through a rule change last year. The funds will be booked under other non-tax state revenue. Purbaya said the amount is higher than BUMN dividend payments in previous years, which were about Rp90 trillion a year. The extra revenue is expected to help keep the APBN deficit more contained and provide a fiscal buffer if the government faces unexpected spending. This year, the government projects the APBN deficit will widen to Rp734,3 trillion, or 2,85 percent of GDP, from Rp689,1 trillion, or 2,68 percent.
