A 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck western Colombia has killed at least 241 people, injured about 3,700 and left hundreds missing, even as rescuers pulled one woman alive from the rubble in Pereira 36 hours after the quake. Firefighters reached 32-year-old Daniela Largo through tunnels dug around four concrete slabs after a 10-hour operation, using a camera to locate her and an opening from above to supply oxygen. The Aug. 10 quake caused heavy damage in Pereira and Cali, where crews used cranes, dogs and hand tools to search collapsed buildings. Colombia declared three days of mourning on Aug. 12 as aftershocks shook damaged neighborhoods and families waited for word on those still trapped.
