Coco Gauff rallies past Pegula for first Wimbledon semifinal
What's next: Gauff faces Karolina Muchova after becoming the youngest woman since Maria Sharapova to reach the semis of all four majors.
Coco Gauff came back from a set down to beat fellow American Jessica Pegula 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Tuesday, reaching the All England Club semifinals for the first time. Gauff had never advanced past the fourth round in London and arrived this year without a grass-court singles win since Wimbledon 2024. After a shaky opening set filled with double faults and unforced errors, she steadied in the second and raised her level late in the decider. The 21-year-old became the youngest woman since Maria Sharapova in 2007 to make the semifinals at all four Grand Slams. Gauff will next play 10th-seeded Karolina Muchova, who beat Naomi Osaka 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
