Cinta Laura urges would-be startup founders to gain work experience first
She said work experience helps aspiring founders build communication, collaboration and identify whether they fit a visionary or operator role.
Cinta Laura Kiehl advised young people who want to build a startup to gather work experience before leading a business. At a media gathering in Jakarta on Saturday, the actor and singer said professional experience is important for training communication, collaboration and the ability to fit into a workplace. She said prospective founders also need to understand their own strengths, whether they are better suited to be a visionary who sets the direction of the business or an operator who runs day-to-day activities. Cinta said both roles are equally important and cannot always be handled by one person at the same time. The founder of Cinta Laura Foundation also reminded young people who start investing to understand the business they are funding and not simply put in money without contributing input.
