Charlton beat West Ham 2-1 as Castellanos misses stoppage-time penalty

What's new: Charlton stayed perfect in the Championship, while West Ham's derby winless run stretched to 10 matches.

Charlton made it two wins from two in the Championship by beating West Ham 2-1 in a London derby after Taty Castellanos missed a stoppage-time penalty that could have rescued a point. Lloyd Jones put Charlton ahead in the seventh minute and Tyreece Campbell doubled the lead after the break when West Ham lost the ball near their own box. Joel Piroe, on loan from Leeds, scored on his debut to set up a late push, but Castellanos fired wide from the spot at the end. West Ham finished with more than 77% possession and a 2.96 expected-goals tally to Charlton's 0.57, but the loss increased pressure on manager Nuno Espírito Santo and extended the club's derby winless streak to 10 games.
