BYD sells M6 DM in Indonesia, hybrid MPV starts at Rp298 million
The new model is BYD's first plug-in hybrid in Indonesia, with a claimed 65 km per liter efficiency and over 1,600 km total range.
BYD Indonesia has begun selling its first plug-in hybrid MPV in the domestic market, the BYD M6 DM, priced from Rp298 million to Rp390 million on the road Jakarta. The model comes in five variants: Classic Standard, Classic Dynamic, Cross Advanced, Cross Superior, and Cross Captain Seat. PT BYD Motor Indonesia President Director Eagle Zhao said the M6 DM is aimed at consumers who are not yet ready to fully switch to electric cars. The vehicle uses a 1,500 cc gasoline engine paired with a fifth-generation Dual Mode hybrid system. BYD claims fuel efficiency of around 65 kilometers per liter and a combined driving range of more than 1,600 kilometers with the battery and tank full. Battery options are 7,4 kWh with an electric range of about 40 kilometers and 18,3 kWh for up to 110 kilometers.
