Burnham hosts Zelensky, gives Ukraine UK drone-jammer technology
What's new: London will share the IP for its “Stone Cloak” system as Zelensky heads next to Washington for talks with Trump.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Britain for talks with Prime Minister Andy Burnham, the first foreign leader to visit since Burnham took office. The two are due to visit a naval base in Portsmouth and meet more than 200 Ukrainian troops training in Britain, including on counter-mine operations in the Black Sea. Britain also moved to deepen military cooperation by handing Ukraine the intellectual property for its “Stone Cloak” electronic warfare system, designed to jam Russian air defenses and help drones avoid detection. The visit comes as drone and missile attacks intensify and a day before Zelensky is scheduled to meet President Donald Trump in Washington.
