A high-rise under construction in New York City was evacuated Tuesday after two support columns began to buckle, leaving the structure unstable. Surrounding buildings were also cleared after reports of falling bricks. Video from inside the site showed one of the beams visibly bending. Mayor Zohran Mamdani said at a press conference that the building remained unstable.
