Buangkok crash flips van; 45-year-old car driver arrested

A crash between a car and a van at a Buangkok junction on June 4 left the van on its side, sent one man to hospital and led to the arrest of the car driver. Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted at about 12:05 p.m. to the collision at Buangkok Green and Buangkok Link, near Hougang Street 93. The 32-year-old van driver was taken conscious to Sengkang General Hospital. Another person was assessed for minor injuries and declined hospital treatment. Police arrested the 45-year-old car driver for dangerous driving causing hurt. Video posted online showed the van crossing the junction before a black car struck its side, scattering debris across the road. Police investigations are ongoing.
