What's next: The 25-year-old faces five charges, remains on S$1,000 bail and returns to court on Aug. 19.

A 25-year-old British man was charged in Singapore after prosecutors said he drunkenly caused a disturbance at Changi Airport, pushed past airline staff and delayed a Kuala Lumpur-bound flight by 45 minutes. Court documents identified him as Arudchelvan Karnan. The incident unfolded on July 20 at Gate C17 in Terminal 1 after airline staff moved to offload him from a Scoot flight because he was allegedly intoxicated and shouting. Prosecutors said he used vulgarities, accused one staff member of being racist, then charged onto the aerobridge and knocked another female staff member to the floor, injuring her left arm and wrist. He faces five charges, including harassment, causing hurt, being drunk and a public nuisance, and entering a protected area without authorization.
